Men of Athens
…in every way you are very religious

blog personal photoI grew up in the deep South, spending most of my childhood in Slidell, Louisiana, then my college years and early married life in central Mississippi. Though I was raised in a Christian home, it wasn’t until my junior year in college that I truly began a personal and sincere pursuit of faith in Christ. I served in church ministry for almost nine years, during which time I studied at Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi and met my wife Cristy. From 2007 until 2011 we lived as missionaries in Russia.

My interests are wide and varied, but I try to keep them narrowed down as much as possible. All of my life I’ve enjoyed music. I play guitar and compose some. I enjoy outdoorsy things like hiking and running. I’m a card-carrying coffee snob and love good food (which is why I run). And though I’m not particularly good at math, I love science, sci-fi, computers, gadgets, techie things, etc. Yeah, basically I’m a geek.

We currently reside in Gresham, Oregon with our three children, Isaiah, Nadia and Lily. I serve as communications director for InterAct Ministries. We are members of a wonderful Christian community, Gresham Bible Church.
